Liability Coverage
General Liability: A must for any business, this insurance protects you if you are sued by someone who claims that your negligence caused their physical injury or damaged their property. We offers limits of $1 million per occurrence/$3 million aggregate. (Per occurrence is the maximum amount paid on a covered individual claim; aggregate is the maximum amount paid on all covered claims combined, within the policy period.)
Umbrella Liability: Provides extra protection for catastrophic events. Umbrella liability goes into effect after you’ve exceeded the limits of your general or auto liability insurance. Limits up to $10 million are available.
Special Events Liability: If you host weddings, family reunions, meetings, or other special events, this coverage protects you if someone claims your negligence caused their injury at the event.
Products/Completed Operations Liability: If you operate a gift shop, have a restaurant, or do limited catering, this coverage is essential. It protects you if someone claims injury due to a defect in your product, whether it's spoiled food or a product sold in your shop.
Off-Premises Activities Liability: Do you cater events on other people's property? If so, this coverage protects you.
Property Coverage
Historic Buildings and Unique Property: This optional endorsement provides building valuation on a “like kind” property replacement basis. If you have a covered loss, this ensures that your property will be rebuilt or repaired using historic materials or those most closely matching the original materials.
Property: Covers systems breakdown (mechanical, electrical, or pressure systems), business personal property, buildings, and business income.
Specialty Inns Enhancement Endorsement
This endorsement bundles three important coverages. Additional Living Expense pays the necessary increases in living expenses you incur to maintain your normal standard of living at a temporary residence after a covered loss. Household Personal Property Away from the Described Premises pays for loss or damage to your household personal property, wherever located. Limits apply to both coverages. Personal Liability is also included on the form.
Guests' Inconvenience Expense Endorsement
If there is a covered loss at your facility that prevents pre-registered guests from staying with you, this coverage reimburses expenses your guests incur to find other lodging, travel expenses, and certain expenses for prepaid activities. After a $500 deductible, this coverage pays $100 per guest per day, $25,000 per occurrence maximum.
Other Coverage
Inland Marine: Covers fine arts, valuable papers, EDP, signs, and miscellaneous articles.
Crime: Covers employee dishonesty, theft of money and securities, and forgery.
Auto: Covers autos owned by the business.
